Friends, family, co-workers, and even strangers have all asked me this exact question, and my answer is always the same…nope. Don’t get me wrong, this was definitely something I researched before we took the plunge and finalized our order, but Tesla is such a one-of-a-kind all-electric vehicle/energy company that the idea of our battery just tapping out in the middle of a trip is just not a thing.
One of the many benefits of owning this car is the widespread Tesla Supercharger network. Supercharger stations are not like other EV chargers you may have seen, we can charge our Model S to 50% in 20 minutes! That’s just enough time to grab some food, because I’m always scouting the eateries nearby, and take a bathroom break before getting back on the road. Oh! And that’s on top of the fact that Tesla already makes the longest range all-electric cars.
However, besides checking all of the boxes for solving any potential battery or charging concerns, the Tesla Model S is gorgeous! And has a ton of super cool features. All of which quickly propelled it to our dream car, and who turns away their dream car because of a battery? Not us!
Sometimes people get scared of the unknown, and Tesla is so new and revolutionary that it is very unfamiliar to a lot of drivers. Also, people tend to dislike change, so going from a car with an instant combustion engine that fuels up at a gas station to an all-electric car that charges its battery at a supercharger station can be intimidating and overwhelming. But Elon Musk once said, “When Henry Ford made cheap, reliable cars, people said, ‘Nah, what’s wrong with a horse?’ That was a huge bet he made, and it worked.” Don’t let fear of change control you. When we embraced change, our eyes were opened to an amazing car and new lifestyle.
